  12. My dealing with Copperhead went OK and I got a good deal, but I
  13. have heard about items arriving DOA many a time in this
  14. newsgroup.

  16. There are 2 things that concern me about Copperhead Tech.  
  17.  
  18. #1 They do not have any catalog or listing of their products.
  19. Anytime I want something from them I must make a long distance
  20. telephone call just to see if they carry it, and if so, how
  21. much it costs.  Many times, I will just buy something because
  22. it is a good deal and I could use it, but I don't really need
  23. it.  Ex. An audio digitizer or something..  I really wish they
  24. had a list of inventory and at least *rough* prices for items.

  26. #2 They claim to have an appearance on the net.  They had some
  27. account at AOL, and I wrote to it many times, but never
  28. received a reply.  They posted here from it a couple of times
  29. with messages like
  30. COPPPERHEAD TECHNOLOGIES IS THE NUMBER ONE AMIGA RESELLER!!!!!

  32. FOR ALL YOUR AMIGA NEEDS..!

  34. I think a mail order business needs either a presence on the
  35. net or a catalog, but preferably both.  However, if they give
  36. out an e-mail address they should at least respond to it.

  39. Finally, I have a question for the Amiga community in general.
  40. I run a small used Amiga sales company, and we're now getting
  41. the new AT units, and I would like to expand our business
  42. through the net.  I would like to know the opinion of Amiga
  43. buyers on what they would like to see from an Amiga dealer.

  45. Do you want customer phone support for installing items?
  46. Just low prices period? (kinda like Copperhead)
  47. Would you like to see an Internet home page?  If so, with what
  48. information on it?  
  49. Do you require credit card acceptance?
  50. What type products are you interested in (the latest greatest,
  51. gfx cards, 060 accelerators, video equipment, or smaller things) ? 
  52. Would you/did you support companies that advertised in Amiga
  53. World or other mags?  Are there any mags you read that you
  54. would buy products from their advertisers?
  55. Finally, what Amiga model do you own?
